India has finally got a symbol for the Rupee and joined a select club of countries whose currencies have an unique identity.

The latest news on Sixth Pay Commission is for the IIT, IIM, NIT & School Staff Employees, i.e. the institutes which are funded by the government.

However, they are still no clarity about the exact numbers of the pay hike for these institutes like IIT, IIM, NIT, REC, and other government funded educational institutes.

Better pay package for faculty of Central technical educational institutions
The committee set up to review the scales for faculty of central technical educational institutions like IIMs and IITs, headed by former director of Indian Institute of Sciences, Bangalore, Prof Govardhan Mehta, has submitted its report to the HRD Ministry.
Committe suggested that they get a better package than their counterparts in universities and colleges and these recommendations by the commitee will benefit more than 10,000 staff of institutions like IIT and IIM.
