Whatever may be the way the govt departments function, their documents are at least free of obvious errors of spelling, syntax and nomenclature.
In this letter 'Defence' is spelled 'defense' ( American English), and the ignorance of the under secretary shocks me when comptroller & Auditor General is called controller and Auditor General of India.
People have very poor opinion about bureaucracy in general and as if to lend credence, you Mr. Anil Sharma, done well by signing such an important Govt order with errors as pointed out.
My suggestion, learn some officialese before basking in the glory of the seat you hold.
The order is silent on the DR applicable to Pensioners/Family Pensioners.
In the Government order Comptroller spelled correctly, kindly reproduce the Go properly
