Bonanza for Central Government Employees - DA Order:
Now the DA will be increased to 45 %.
The decision to provide higher DA to employees will cost the exchequer an additional Rs. 9,303.2 crore per annum for the government.

Release of additional instalment of dearness allowance to Central Government employees and dearness relief to Pensioners due from 1.7.2010 to compensate for price rise The Union Cabinet today decided to release an additional instalment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners w.e.f. 1.7.2010 representing an increase of 10% over the existing rate of 35% of the Basic Pay/Pension, to compensate for price rise.
The increase is in accordance with the accepted formula, which is based on the recommendations of the 6th Central Pay Commission.
The combined impact on the exchequer on account of both Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief will be of the order of Rs. 9303.2 crore per annum and Rs. 6202.1 crore in the financial year 2010-2011 (for a period of 8 months from July,2010 to February, 2011).

Good News but Govt can save this huge burden by having contol on Price index.
I don't think anyone needs to thank PM or Soniaji for this. Govt. is not able to control prices and increase is based on the accepted formula as per the Recommendations of the 6th Pay Commission. Nothing great if Govt. has given this. There are millions who are not Govt. servants and will not get compensated for this price rise.
It must be 15%....Additional 5% for Inflation due to Flood and CWG
what about those employees who r still getting 5th Pay
Govt. of India always gives Salary Hike to their employees but they don't think about the people who worked in private sector organisations, whether they are getting the same pakage as what govt. employees are getting, beacuse when the person will go to buy anything from the market he / she will have to pay same prize as what the govt. employees to pay. Think about the people worked in private sector organisations, where they don't get the salary as what govt. employees get. Can Govt. Will control the pay scales of private sector organisations workers / employees.
regarding private i would like to say some them get vulgar salary which sometimes exceeds all limits. suntv pays so much to its top bosses even top companies are not paying
