Uttarakhand govt has increased dearness allowance (DA) for its employees by 8 percent. This decision could cost the state exchequer Rs 300 crore.
The hike in DA has been implemented with retrospective effect from 1st January 2010. The existing DA rate is 27% . Now after this DA hike Uttarkhand employees will get DA at a rate of 35% which is same as the case of central government employees.
Nearly 1.50 employees of the state government would get 35 percent DA.
