DOPT Notification:
In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the constitution and in supersession of the central secretariat stenographers’ Service Rules, 1969, the central secretariat stenographers’ service (private secretary Grade) Rule, 1989 and the central Secretariat Stenographers’ Service (senior Principal Private Secretary) Rules, 2000, except as respects things done or following to be done before such suppression, the president hereby makes the following rules regulating the method of recruitment to the posts borne on the Central Secretariat Stenographers’ Service, namely:-
1. Short title and Commencement:-
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the official gazette.
2. Definitions-
In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires -
(a) “appointed day” means the date on which these rules shall come into force;
(b) “appointing authority” , in relaxation to a grade, means the authority empowered under the central civil services (Classification, Control and Appeal Rules, 1965, to make appointments to that grade:
