One rank one pensin protest. Ex servicemen returns medals

Posted by binu P Monday, September 14, 2009

Ex-servicemen on Sunday returned about 5,000 service medals to the President in protest against the attitude toward one rank one pensin scheme.

A ten-member team led by General (retd) B K Ranjan returned the medals — which 4,000 ex-servicemen had voluntarily deposited — to the President, Maj-Gen (retd) Satbir Singh, vice-chairman of the Indian Ex-Servicemen Movement (IESM), said. The organisation deposited the service medals to make the government see the demands, he added. It is because of the bureaucracy and political parties that our demands remain unaddressed.

It is utter shame to have such inefficient, incompetent, wasteful, inept, ineffective authorities or similarly should I say the weakest Govt. in the world; which does every thing financial or whatever they desire and other things whatever are possible on Earth for doing every thing for their own benefits and remaining in power. Contrary to this, none of them ever even listen, consider, or ever find time to attend to the problems of the soldiers, who are the savior of the nation, keep doing everything for 24 hours facing miserable hazards at the risk and cost of their own life that too in prime youth and totally neglecting, abandoning, ignoring, disregarding forget, and deserting the future of their families and children. And those who happen to survive, they are thrown out of service in their prime youth, irrespective of anything. On top of all this the bigwigs, like the Prime Minister on the red fort and Finance Minister in august Parliament by making false speech announcement, thus to befool and cheat the nation, public and soldiers.
Regardless of such a shabby treatment to the old soldiers by the Govt or any other authorities, I pray to the Almighty to give the soldiers strength to tolerate the authorities, considering their own helplessness and dutifulness, and keep putting in their all-out efforts to achieve our goal and always keeping in mind the best interest and security of their Nation.
