  2. 50% DA should merge with basic pay as DP as done in fifth cpc 1996. and benefit should be be given to all employee. It is pertinent to mention here that the move of raising retirement age to 62/65 to central govt employee should also be initiated as it would save lot of govt exchequer for 2 to 5 years which may be utilised by the govt for poor, ans also for the development of the country at large.

  5. Dear Sir,

Umpteen comments and views have been expressed in this site about DA but other issues have been side tracked as if Govt employees are benefitted only by DA. Other allowances too suffer some monetary value. As for bonus, the Govt.still follows the same archaic ceiling limit even after the basic pays have been hiked due to 6th PC. What are our leaders doing in this regard? Is there any representation for increasing the ceiling limit of ad bonus for central staff? Still MACP has not been given effect. Still there is ban on new recruitment of staff. Pension offered to govt. employees is peanuts compared to the wayward inflationary trends.Price increase is an order of the day and the govt seems to have lost control over the price front, which is the very root of the plight of the govt.staff. I think our association leaders are enjoying other benefits so that their representation is not effective in convincing the govt.

  7. Boss, without any real performance by we govt employees this much salary is a real NAREGA, Indira Bachao...,Jawahar berojgar..., Rajeev desh lutoo.. type of public fund empty scheme. Honestly(put your hand on your heart and say),don't we deserve only 50% of what we get in terms of our performance compensation? In place of 7-8 hours of continuous work are not we working for 3-4 hours only and waste rest of the time in chit chat or personal works?

  9. In this country with millions of educated un employed, hiking the pay of the white collar/White elephant employees is a crime.
We are ready to do the same work at half the pay

  11. The DA hike should be double to the employees drawing grade pay below RS.4200. Because all these people are needy. The load of entire family is with their shoulders.

  13. taking the present inflation into account, the DA should increase by atleast 10 % ie. should be atleast 55 % w.e.f. 01 Jan 2011

  15. Currently DA rate is 45% on TA, after merging 50% DA from january 2011 what will be the rate of DA on TA. As it is mention that no TA & HRA will increase by 25% in that case TA amount will be lower than current. currently 1600 TA + 45% DA after merger TA will be 1600 + 2% DA if we assume next DA will be 7%. Can anyone clarify for this issue.

  21. DA should not less than 10 percent as such market price.

  23. HRA is not linked to DA, HR is calculated based on the Basic+GradePay. Hence HRA should be increased, and the need is justifiable if you see the demand of the landlords in cities. they demand 10% hike in rent every 11months where as HRA remains stagnante for a year and increases by 3% in a year.

  25. DA for employees placed in Pay Band- I should be at least double the normal DA entitled for PB-II and above. As they are the most sufferer in terms of pay compared to the work assigned to them. They really need more financial benefit than any other and their moral is requored to be boost up. So please look into it and grant double DA to them.

Findout the calculation and try yourself with the help of calculator. But you are lucky enough to get 7% D.A from January 2011, which will be announced by government after 15th of March 2011.
    Jan-172,Feb-170,Mar-170,,Apr-170,May-172,Jun-174,Jul-178,Aug-178,Sep-179,Oct-181,Nov-182,Dec-185. DA=[(2111/12)-115.76]*100/115.76=51.966. This 6.966 will be round3ed to 7%. It means 45+7 = 52% from January 2011 onwards. Happy D.A . C.J.Mathews Sankarathil.MBA

  36. The retirement age should be reduced to 58 yrs. so that younger generation can get a chance to clean the system and unemployment can be reduced by this. u can not extend the years to save money as u have to pay dat one or the othr day.

  38. The retirement age for all employees should be decreased, so that the next generation can take over the load of responsibilities. The DA should also not be increased, but the rising prices should be checked. Everybody should have responsibility to do something for uplift of our nation, which is more precious of our lives. Small scale industries should be planned within regions irrespective of their representatives in the legislature. No difference should be emerged among riches and poors.

I feel that the amount spent by govt should be recovered from the salary who found responsible for depriving rights of the staff and unnecessary leading to court case and wasting the time of hounarble court also.
